Same as rubber for efficiency
Rubber- break open and don’t spin as well
Hard(new style) shatter in cold but allow better movement. Don’t try to pound in if ground is frozen or you’ll be sorry...buy the rings
Each have issues but I’ll take the hard ones in a side by side.

different material
Got the replacements but the new ones are hard plastic. I guess they work ok, maybe let the deke spin with the wind better, but they dont seem to fit as well, too loose. Id rather have the rubber ones.
